Catching Up with SIOR at Oracle Park

Sometimes the best way to strengthen professional relationships isn’t across a conference table, it’s in the stands with colleagues and an Instagram worthy view of the San Francisco Bay. Yesterday, the Northern California / Northern Nevada Chapter of SIOR traded office views for stadium seats and spent the afternoon at a San Francisco Giants game.

Stepping Away from the Everyday

Our industry doesn’t slow down often, which is why moments like this matter. Taking time away from the routine to connect with fellow SIOR members in a casual setting reminded me that relationships are the backbone of our industry. Without the usual agenda, the game gave us the chance to simply enjoy each other’s company and catch up on both business and life.

Building Connections Beyond Business

Between innings, conversations flowed easily. We swapped market insights, compared experiences and shared a few laughs that don’t always surface during back-to-back meetings. It’s these genuine moments that strengthen the trust and camaraderie we carry back into our work.

Why It Matters

Events like this underscore what SIOR is all about, bringing professionals together in meaningful ways. Whether we’re working through a complex deal or cheering for a home run, these connections make us better brokers, partners and leaders in our markets.

Grateful for This Chapter

The Giants may have lost, but I left the game feeling like the real win was gratitude - for this chapter, for the friendships and for the reminder that sometimes stepping back from the grind makes us stronger when we dive back in.

Here’s to more moments that remind us why community matters as much as work itself.
