Women in Industrial, Logistics & Development (WILD): Building Connection, Expanding Possibility

In commercial real estate, relationships drive everything - and nowhere is that more true than in industrial real estate. As someone who’s spent more than a decade representing industrial tenants in Northern Nevada, I’ve seen how collaboration, access and visibility can completely change the trajectory of a career. That’s part of why I joined the founding board of WILD: Women in Industrial, Logistics & Development, an organization built to connect, educate and elevate women who are making an impact in one of the fastest-growing sectors of commercial real estate.

A Launch That Set the Tone

Last month we hosted WILD Unveiled, our very first event, at The Club at Rancharrah. We honestly didn’t know what to expect, but the turnout blew us away. Over forty women, and a few incredible industry allies, filled the room with energy, curiosity and confidence. You could feel it from the moment you walked in: this industry is ready for something like WILD. It wasn’t just another networking event. It was women from all parts of the industrial ecosystem — brokers, developers, engineers, contractors, logistics pros and project managers - coming together to learn from each other and to claim space in a field where we’ve often been the minority.

Recognition Before We Even Opened the Doors

Even before the launch, WILD had already caught the attention of the broader real estate community. We were featured in BizNow, Northern Nevada Business Weekly and GlobeSt., which helped amplify our message long before the first event took place. That early buzz spoke volumes about the hunger for connection and representation among women in industrial real estate - not just in Nevada, but across the country.

A Mission That Mirrors the Market

WILD’s membership model is centered on real growth: through education, mentorship, leadership opportunities and meaningful networking. We’re not just creating another organization; we’re building a movement that gives women the tools, visibility and confidence to grow in an industry that’s often defined by logistics, development and deal-driven energy.

As an industrial tenant representative, I see the professional benefit too. Being part of WILD connects me with a strong network of women shaping industrial real estate on every level, from site selection and design to construction and capital markets. It keeps me informed, connected and visible in a way that directly complements my work helping industrial tenants find and negotiate space across the Reno-Sparks region.

The Power of Community

The impact of WILD extends beyond the boardroom or job site. It’s about visibility, inclusion and creating space for women to lead with both confidence and authenticity. It’s also about celebrating the momentum that’s already happening in Northern Nevada’s industrial market — a market that continues to attract national brands, manufacturers and logistics users who see long-term opportunity here.

Being part of WILD feels like being part of that growth on a different level — one focused on people, purpose and potential. I’m proud to help build something that doesn’t just support women, but pushes the entire industry forward.
